COMMERCIAL PLUMBING · YAKIMA VALLEY
Commercial plumbing in Yakima, WA, for shops, offices and kitchens
New plumbing systems, water service and waste lines, sump systems and complex water heating for retail stores, office buildings, shopping centers and commercial kitchens.
Chapter 01
What a business can't wait on
A restroom that's out of order, a kitchen sink that won't drain, a water heater that has quit, a fountain that has stopped running. In a house those are annoyances. In a shop, an office or a restaurant they cost you customers while the problem sits there.
Shephard Plumbing works in retail stores, office buildings, shopping centers and commercial kitchens around Yakima, and our owner spent years as a commercial plumber before opening the company in 2014. We take any residential or commercial job regardless of size, from one failed fixture to the plumbing for a whole build-out.
Commercial, industrial and mechanical plumbing systems carry more load and more rules than a house does. They are worth putting in front of a licensed contractor: Washington L&I plumbing contractor license SHEPHPL791N6.

New systems, water service and waste lines
For commercial development we run new plumbing systems from the ground up: rough-in, supply and waste, the fixtures, and the equipment that goes with them. The same crew that does the underground work sets the finish.
New water service lines and new waste lines are part of that work, and so is repairing a waste line that has failed under an existing building. When the ground has to come up we dig it ourselves, and when it doesn't, there are trenchless options for the pipe.
The process is the plain one: an estimate, a date on the calendar, and a call from the owner on the morning of the job.
Chapter 03
Hot water at building scale
A restaurant kitchen, a clinic or a row of shop bays uses hot water in a way a family doesn't. We install complex water heating systems, including Tankless and Boiler units, and we've set banks of commercial heaters on copper headers and paired Navien tankless units in a mechanical room.
Repair comes first when parts will do the job. When a unit is done, we replace it and haul the old one away. Our Water Heaters page covers the tank and tankless side in more detail.
Sump systems, mechanical rooms and scheduling around your day
Sump pump systems in commercial buildings get repaired or replaced here too, along with the mechanical and industrial plumbing that sits behind the walls. Keeping one contractor for the whole building means one number to call when something in it goes wrong.
We'll work out a time with you that fits your business hours, and the job is priced against the estimate you were given. One of our commercial clients wrote about exactly that, and she says it better than we do below.

A commercial kitchen, every sink installed, estimate held
“Shepherds Plumbing installed all the sinks in my commercial kitchen. I highly recommend them. Jeremy gave me an estimate, we set a date for install, he called me that morning at 8:00 ready to go. He did a beautiful job. He held true to the estimate. Very happy!”
Mechanical and industrial properties are on the same list as retail stores and offices. The Yakima line is (509) 642-4108 and the Tri-Cities line is (509) 796-0640.
